In Arequipa
So we left Lima after about two days and went to Arequipa where I studied at language school! We were able to really just enjoy some time catching up and seeing where I stayed for 6 weeks! It was really great to be able to show Jess the city that I had called home when I first arrived in Peru. She was able to meet my host family and all the teachers at institute. We were able to visit a lot of my favorite restaurants in town and just have a great time doing low key things while being together.
The one touristy thing we did while in Arequipa was go to the Santa Catalina Monastery. It is a beautifully restored monastery from the 1600s (I think). We just spent a couple hours exploring this small city and taking pictures. It is a stunning place and if you like to take pictures this is a fantastic place to go. After our time in Arequipa it was time for Cusco and Machu Picchu!

About Me
Emily Felts
Arequipa, Arequipa, Peru
I'm a twenty-something mompreneur who left my job in Washington, D.C. to fulfill my dream of being a stay at home Mom. With a love for entertaining and designing dessert tables, I could spend all of my time creating an event or thinking of an excuse to host a party! When I'm not changing diapers or blowing bubbles, I can be found searching for fresh inspiration, from different fabrics, colors, pictures, life events, etc. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
